Once I've paid, what happens next?

You must provide a valid email address when checking out as you will automatically be sent an email with links to download the products you have purchased. Please note that some AOL email accounts have been setup in such a way that emails from automated scripts such as the one used by JM Digital Elements are considered spam and may not be delivered. If you do not receive the email with download links, please let me know. Please be aware that the download links will expire in 5 days, so you will need to access them before then!

Can I pay by cheque, cash or money order?

I'm sorry, but I can only accept PayPal unless you are paying me in pounds sterling. There is a hefty fee for exchanging dollars (or any other currency) which I'd rather not have to pay.

Can I have music on my website?

I'm sorry, but due to the way the websites are designed using Microsoft FrontPage, it is not possible to have music in the background. The song would stop and start on each page load and due to the required file type it would mean that your bandwidth would be devoured, costing you money.

Can I edit my website myself later or do you offer maintenance?

If you are confident with FTP and Microsoft FrontPage (or html editing) then I would be happy to send the completed web files to you. If you'd rather I handle any future changes, I would be happy to for a maintenance charge of $50 for up to an hour, thereafter $12.50 per quarter hour. It would be in your best interest to save up your changes and have them done in one go as usually they will not take more than an hour.

Do you Search Engine Optimise the site?

I'm sorry, but I don't offer Search Engine Optimisation.

Can my site include client proofing galleries?

Not included with your website, but can be linked to from your site if hosted elsewhere, or I can provide instructions for you to create your own proofing galleries using SimpleViewer and ftp them to your server.

How do I use your borders?

Open the border and open your image. In the border file, go to Image - Image size. See how many pixels and inches it is. Make your image file size the same. Then go to Image - Canvas Size and add 1cm to width and 1cm to height. Then in the border file, Select All (Ctrl A), Copy (Ctrl C), click on the image file, Paste (Ctrl V). Once you are happy with how it looks, Flatten the image. Don't forget to SAVE AS, under a different name, so you don't lose the original image file! Close the border file WITHOUT saving!

Do your borders and templates work in Photoshop Elements?

Yes they do!

How do I change black borders to white, or white borders to black?
With the border layer active go to Image - Adjust - Invert (or hit Ctrl I).

How do I change the colour of a border?
To change the colour of a border, first make sure it is black. Then go to Image - Adjustments - Hue / Saturation and take the lightness up so that it is grey (the shade depends on how light or dark you want your colour to be). Then go to Image - Adjustments - Colour Balance and pull the sliders here and there to add or remove colour until you have the hue you want.

How do I get the collages printed? They are odd sizes and shapes.

I use an online digital photo printer here, and order their poster prints. If my collage is 9x20 inches, for instance, I look for the poster that will take that size on it,  e.g. 16x20 inch poster print. I make sure my background colour in Photoshop is a different colour to the background of the collage, then I go Image - Canvas size and make it 16x20 inches. I save as a jpeg, order the 16x20 inch poster and cut out my collage once I receive it. This prevents your printer stretching your 9x20 collage to fit their posters - your jpeg is the correct size for that poster print so no distortion will occur.

What card should I use for the referral card holders?

I recommend Bazzill cardstock, available in many different colours from any scrapbooking store. It's sturdy but goes through your printer well. Print on the smooth side, not the linen textured side.

Are there "strings attached" to using your products?

If you post your work using my templates and borders online, I'd really love it if you'd mention where you got them from!
